AMA Australian Capital Territory
The Australian Medical Association - Australian Capital Territory, (AMA ACT) represents the medical profession: junior doctors, salaried hospital and community based doctors, GPs and privately practising specialists, salaried non-clinical doctors and academics.
The AMA ACT acts as an advocate for the medical profession (including medical students) and for patients. The AMA has access to politicians, bureaucrats and media providing a voice for the medical profession on a vast range of key health and related policy issues affecting medical practitioners and their patients.
AMA South Australia
The AMA(SA) is a member focused organisation. With a range of committees providing policy input to the activities and direction of the AMA(SA) we are a responsive, proactive organisation representing member needs.
AMA(SA) is committed to promoting and advancing ethical behaviour by the medical profession and protect the integrity and independence of the doctor/patient relationship; promoting and advancing the public health and welfare of patients; protecting the academic, professional and economic independence and the health and wellbeing of medical practitioners; and preserving and protect the political, legal and industrial interests of medical practitioners.
AMA Services QLD
The Australian Medical Association of Queensland is the State's peak medical representative body and represents more than 5,670 Queensland doctors. Nationally, the Australian Medical Association represents over 27,000 doctors, ranging from residents and registrars through to public and private specialists and general practitioners.
AMA Services Queensland is here to assist members through the secretariat who specialise in workplace relations, media and public relations, lobbying campaigns, and policy development for the betterment of the medical profession. AMA Services Queensland is also is an active campaigner for the rights of patients, better services in the public system, guaranteed freedom of choice in the private system, and the right to retain access to Australia's high standards of medicine.
AMA Tasmania
The Australian Medical Association Tasmania (AMA Tasmania) provides a vital role in servicing the professional needs of medical practitioners throughout Tasmania, including industrial representation for medical practitioners employed in the State's public hospital system, and for Doctors engaged in private practice, industrial services are also available to deal with human resource issues involving clinical, nursing and administrative staff within those individual practices.
The AMA Tasmania provides vital representation with Government both at the Federal and State level, providing a voice for the medical profession on a vast range of key health and related policy issues affecting medical practitioners and their patients. The processes followed by the Tasmanian AMA facilitate and encourage active participation and communication with the administration on those vital issues of concern to the medical profession.
